Gurugram: 19-Year-Old Woman Stabbed To Death By Ex-Fiance Days After Engagement Called Off

JE News Desk: In a frightening incident, a 19-year-old woman was stabbed to death by a 23-year-old man under broad daylight in Gurugram this morning. CCTV footage of the incident has been released in which a man could be seen stabbing her former fiance following an altercation.

The man identified as Rajkumar, took out his blade and started attacking the victim. The woman accompanying the victim, allegedly to be her mother, tried to intervene but failed to save her. Another video surfaced on social media which showed the man covered in blood, standing there after committing the crime. However, the man has been arrested by the police.

According to the police, both the man and the victim are from Uttar Pradesh’s Badaun district, and the woman worked as a domestic help, as reported by NDTV. They were engaged four months back and were living in Gurugram’s Mullahera locality. The engagement was later called off by the family of the victim for some unknown reason.

Recently, a 20-year-old man was stabbed to death allegedly following a quarrel at Sangam Colony in central Delhi’s Pandav Nagar area, the police said. The victim was identified as 20-year-old Abhishek, a resident of Sangam Colony. A murder case was registered by the police and the spot where the incident took place was inspected by crime and forensic teams.
