Haridwar-Delhi Highway Accident: Four passengers from Rewari, Haryana, lost their lives in a road accident on the Haridwar-Delhi Highway late Wednesday night. One more passenger is critically injured and is undergoing treatment at AIIMS. The accident occurred near the Shani Dev Temple, just before Bahadarabad Police Station, when a car, travelling from Roorkee, collided with a truck parked on the roadside.

The deceased have been identified as Kehar Singh (35), Aditya (38), Manish (36) and Prakash (40), all residents of Rewari. The injured passenger, Mahipal (40), has been reported from the village of Lisadi, police station Sadar, Rewari.

According to Station House Officer Naresh Rathore, the truck driver, Fazlur Rahman, was transporting cement bags from Bhagwanpur to Ambuja Cement’s warehouse in Rishikesh. He had stopped near the accident site to use the toilet when the collision took place. The truck, which was carrying 800 cement bags, has been seized and police are actively searching for the driver.
