In a major crackdown, a team of the Excise Department raided a dairy and a mobile shop involved in selling liquor in Uttarakhand's Haridwar. The team have arrested one person and registered a case.

According to the information, the excise department received a tip-off regarding the presence of liquor in dairy and mobile shops, after which, a team raided Shankar Dairy located at the Old Ranipur Turn.

Instead of milk, curd, or other dairy products, whiskey bottles and beer cans were found inside the shop. One accused was caught at the shop.

Following this, the team raided Rana Mobile Shop, located some 50 metres from the dairy shop. While the shopkeeper fled from the scene before the team arrived, liquor was found inside the shop.

Speaking about the raids, District Excise Officer Kailash Binjola said that action is being taken by registering a case against both accused.
