Gurugram News: The upgrade of Pataudi Road from Umang Bhardwaj Chowk to the Dwarka Expressway is expected to significantly reduce traffic congestion on the Delhi-Jaipur Highway and improve connectivity to the Dwarka Expressway. The Haryana State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation (HSIDC) aims to finish the road upgrade by 2026, with construction expected to begin soon.

The HSIDC has started preparing a Detailed Project Report (DPR) for the road upgrade project, Jagran.com reported. According to the officials, priority will be given to constructing the drainage and sewer network along the six-kilometre stretch to prevent future issues.

Current Issues On Pataudi Road:

- About a six-kilometre stretch of the Pataudi Road, particularly the stretch from Umang Bhardwaj Chowk through Gadoli Kalan and Gadoli Khurd up to the Dwarka Expressway, is riddled with potholes.

- Lack of a proper drainage system leads to waterlogging every year.

- Additionally, the Pataudi Road has no street lighting, making night travel unsafe, the report added.

- Commuters rely on the Delhi-Jaipur Highway to access several sectors in Gurugram. A 20-kilometre journey often takes an hour due to congestion.

Pataudi Road Upgrade To Benefit THESE Sectors

The Pataudi Road has been in poor condition for nearly a decade, causing significant inconvenience to residents in Sectors 85, 86, 89, 90, 91, 92, 93, 94, and 95 and other commuters.

Commuters between Sector 85 and 95 currently rely on the congested highway. Once the construction is completed, this road could serve as a key alternative route, offering a shorter and easier connection from Gurugram to Pataudi and Rewari and easing congestion on the Delhi-Jaipur Expressway.
