Haryana Roadways News: The Haryana government on Friday launched the Happy Card Scheme, enabling an eligible individual to travel free up to 1,000 kilometers in state roadways buses. The officials stated that any individual with the annual income of less than one lakh rupees per year will be eligible to apply for the scheme. They further stated that the scheme will significantly benefit the daily commuters, especially to the residents with less income. The authority further stated that the scheme will also lead to surge in ridership in the roadways buses.
How To Apply For Happy Card?
While providing details, the authority stated that the eligible individuals can apply for the Happy Card by visiting https://ebooking.hrtransport.gov.in. The applicant needs to click on the 'Apply Happy Card' option and needs to submit the family ID. Apart from this, the card can also be applied via offline mode by visiting CSC centre with family ID, Aadhar card, and age certificate.

The authority stated that after applying for the card, the individual needs to verify the application by entering the OTP sent to the registered mobile number. It further stated that the applicant needs to pay a fee of Rs 50 to access the card.
The individual can gather the card from their nearest bus depot by showing their identity proof after the card is ready. This scheme is a significant step for the economically weaker families of the state, giving them the benefit of affordable and convenient travel.

Earlier last month, the roadways stated that the passengers will soon be able to track the real-time location of the buses on their mobile phones, similar to the tracking system of railways. Once the feature is rolled out, the passengers will not have to wait at the bus stops/stands and guess the location of buses. Earlier, passengers had to wait at the stop for the buses.
