Hisar Assembly Election Result 2024 LIVE: Hisar Assembly constituency is one of the 90 seats in Haryana. The counting of votes begins and the results will decide the fate of candidates. The counting of votes polled in the October 5 assembly elections in Haryana began at 8 am on Tuesday amid tight security arrangements. Polling for the 90 seats of the Haryana Assembly ended on October 5.

The key parties in the fray are the BJP, the Congress, the Aam Aadmi Party, INLD-BSP and JJP-Azad Samaj Party. However, most seats will see a direct fight between the BJP and the Congress.

Hisar Election Result Live News Updates: Savitri Jindal faces a tough fight, contesting as an independent candidate, against Bharatiya Janata party's (BJP) Kamal Gupta who has served as Hisar's MP since 2014. She currently leads by a margin of 17,617 votes. Savitri Jindal previously held the Hisar seat on a Congress ticket from 2005 to 2013 but was de-throned by Kamal Gupta. Now the two electoral rivals face off in the same constituency once again.

Hisar Election Result Live News Updates: Jindal, who is India's richest woman, decided to compete as an Independent after Gupta was chosen over her for the BJP ticket. Her son, Naveen Jindal is contesting on a BJP ticket from the Kurukshetra constituency.

Hisar Election Result Live News Updates: When asked about his mother Savitri Jindal contesting the polls as an independent candidate, Naveen Jindal told PTI, “It is going to be a one-sided contest which Mata Savitri Jindal will win by a big margin.”

Hisar Election Result Live News Updates: Kamal Gupta has served as the cabinet minister for health, urban housing and development as well as aviation in Haryana. Savitri Jindal has also previously held the position of Haryana's minister of revenue and disaster management. Other than Jindal and Gupta, Congress' Ram Niwas Rara is also contesting from the Hisar seat.

Certainly, the whole exit poll industry must be in a deep disgrace...Honestly, let us wait for the final results...My own feeling is that the signs in Haryana are not what we were expecting and are better than what INDIA block was expecting in Jammu & Kashmir."
