An IndiGo flight bound for Hyderabad from Kuwait was diverted to Mumbai after receiving a bomb threat on Tuesday morning. The threat was received in an email, in which the sender claimed that a human bomb was travelling on the aircraft. The email was received at the Hyderabad airport after the authorities issued an alert, reported News18.
The authorities said an emergency landing was made at the Mumbai Airport soon after receiving the threat.
A massive search was started soon after the plane made an emergency landing in Mumbai. The plane was stationed in the isolation area of the airport, and engineers and security forces launched a checkup. The passengers were deboarded and asked to wait on the airport premises until the search was completed. There was no immediate response from Indigo management. The number of passengers on the aircraft is not declared by the authorities.

Bomb Scare At Thane School
Earlier, on Monday, a private school in Mira Road area of Thane district received a bomb blast threat, prompting the police to launch a search for any suspicious object, which turned out to be a hoax.
The school's office received an email at around 6.30 AM stating that the school would be blown up by a bomb planted on its premises.
School authorities alerted the local police, who rushed to the spot, a Kashimira police station official said. He said a thorough search by the bomb detection and disposal squad revealed it was a hoax threat. Police personnel were deployed on the premises, and school sessions were allowed to continue.
