Independence Day 2024: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is scheduled to launch the third edition of the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ 2024 campaign today (August 9) to celebrate the Indian flag on the occasion of the 78th Independence Day on August 15. During his monthly radio broadcast ‘Mann Ki Baat’, Prime Minister Narendra Modi called for a nationwide campaign to promote the Indian flag with the Har Ghar Tiranga Abhiyan (campaign). The campaign will be celebrated from August 9 to August 15.

Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign: PM Modi Changes X DP To National Flag

PM Modi on Friday took to X, formerly Twitter, and urged people to take part in the campaign. He also changed his profile picture on X to the national flag. 

“As this year’s Independence Day approaches, let’s again make #HarGharTiranga a memorable mass movement. I am changing my profile picture and I urge you all to join me in celebrating our Tricolour by doing the same. And yes, do share your selfies on https://harghartiranga.com,” PM Modi wrote on X.

BJP National General Secretary Tarun Chugh in a statement said that the BJP will hold Tiranga Yatras in each assembly constituency. Also, Partition Remembrance Day will be observed across all districts with a silent march, he added.

Earlier in 2022, over 23 crore homes hoisted the national flag 2022, and six crore people shared selfies with the flag on the HGT portal. Earlier in 2023, over 10 crore selfies were uploaded under the HGT campaign, the Culture Ministry said in a statement.

2. Tap on the option 'Upload Selfie with Flag' on the homepage to begin the process.
3. Enter all the required information as prompted on the website.
4. Upload a photo of yourself with the Indian flag (Tiranga) to showcase your patriotism.
5. Tap on the "Submit" option once you have completed the above steps.
6. Visit the website again to see your uploaded picture and be a part of the 'Har Ghar Tiranga' campaign!

Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign 2024: How To Download Certificate

1. Go to the harghartiranga.com website and click on the 'Click to Participate' tab.
2. Read the pledge carefully.
3. Enter your details: name, phone number, state, and country.
4. Click on 'Take Pledge' to proceed.
5. Upload your selfie with the tri-colour on the redirected page.
6. Grant permission for the portal to use your picture on the site.
7. Click 'Submit' to complete the upload process.
8. Click on 'Generate Certificate' to download your participation certificate.
