15th August Delhi Metro Timings: Delhi Metro services will start at 4 am on August 15 to facilitate the travel of people attending the Independence Day ceremony on Thursday. The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) announced on Tuesday that all metro lines will be operational from their terminal stations at this early hour. Trains will run at a 15-minute frequency on all lines until 6 am, after which the regular timetable will be followed for the remainder of the day, DMRC stated.

The DMRC also announced that individuals holding a valid Invitation Card issued by the Ministry of Defence for the ceremony will be allowed to enter and travel on the Metro upon presenting a government-issued photo ID.

This privilege applies to exits only at Lal Quila, Jama Masjid and Chandni Chowk Metro stations, which are the closest to the ceremony venue. The same cards will also permit return journeys from these stations. DMRC stated that the Ministry of Defence will reimburse the travel costs.
