Hyderabad’s Rajiv Gandhi International Airport also saw major operational impact. Officials told ANI that around 115 IndiGo flights, including 61 departures and 54 arrivals, were cancelled on Sunday. This pushed the total cancellations between December 3 and 7 to 519.

Despite continuing disruptions, IndiGo said its operations were gradually improving. The airline issued a statement on Saturday outlining steps taken to restore stability across its network. It said it aimed to operate more than 1,500 flights by the end of Sunday, calling the situation an “early sign of improvement”.

IndiGo explained that it cancelled a large number of flights on December 5 while running just over 700 services to 113 destinations as part of a major system reboot. The airline said its objective was to reset rosters, schedules and systems to bring back normalcy. According to the update, more than 95 per cent of its network connectivity has now been restored.
