IndiGo Travel Advisory: Flight operations at Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGIA) as well as regional airports are currently facing significant disruptions as a thick blanket of fog has severely reduced visibility across the region. Airport officials have confirmed that all operations are being conducted under CAT III protocols, a safety procedure utilised during low-visibility conditions.

Delhi Airport Issues Passenger Advisory

As dense fog continues to cripple visibility across the national capital, flight operations are expected to be affected, leading to cancellations or delays at Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport. While flight operations are being conducted under CAT III safety protocols, the Delhi Airport issued an advisory on Tuesday urging passengers to check with their respective airlines for the latest flight updates.

In a post on X (formerly Twitter), the Delhi Airport said, “Low Visibility Procedures are in progress at Delhi Airport. All flight operations are presently normal. Passengers are requested to contact the airline concerned for updated flight information.”

IndiGo Issues Travel Advisory

IndiGo on Tuesday issued a travel advisory warning that persistent dense fog and low visibility over Delhi, as well as regional airports in Amritsar, Bhopal, Chandigarh, Guwahati, Varanasi, Ranchi, and Hindon, may lead to necessary schedule adjustments.

While flight disruptions are likely, the airline has reassured passengers that it is closely monitoring the situation to prioritise safety and ensure a smooth travel experience for passengers.

“Low visibility over #Udaipur has impacted flight schedules. Departures and arrivals to and from city, may experience delays as we work through the weather conditions. We request you to stay updated on your flight status via our website or app. Be assured, our teams are here to assist you at every step and ensure support. We are closely monitoring the situation and are hopeful for the skies to clear soon, ensuring a smooth journey ahead. Thank you for your patience and for placing your trust in us,” the advisory read.
