Flight Chaos At IGI Airport
Flight disruptions continue to affect travellers at Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport, with at least 60 domestic flights cancelled on Saturday alone amid heightened security concerns, according to sources cited by PTI. The cancellations come as tensions between India and Pakistan escalate, prompting authorities to tighten airspace controls and implement increased safety protocols.
Between 5:00 am and 2:30 pm, 30 departures and 30 arrivals were cancelled at the Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGIA). On Friday, 138 flights had already been cancelled by various airlines. Disruptions at Delhi Airport have persisted for several days.
