IPL 2026 DC vs GT Match: The Delhi Traffic Police has issued a travel advisory for central Delhi on April 8, 2026, ahead of the Indian Premier League (IPL) match between the Delhi Capitals and the Gujarat Titans at Arun Jaitley Stadium.

In a post on social media platform X, Delhi Traffic Police wrote, "In view of the IPL 2026 Day/Night match between Delhi Capitals vs Gujarat Titans at Arun Jaitley Stadium on 08.04.2026, traffic may be affected at nearby stretches."

According to the advisory, congestion is expected on key stretches around Arun Jaitley Stadium from 12:00 pm to midnight. The match between Delhi Capitals and Gujarat Titans is scheduled from 7:00 pm to 10:30 pm.

IPL 2026 DC vs GT Match: Restrictions On Heavy Vehicles

The movement of heavy and commercial vehicles will remain prohibited on key corridors, including stretches between Daryaganj and Delhi Gate, Delhi Gate to Guru Nanak Chowk, and ITO to Delhi Gate.

IPL 2026 DC vs GT Match: Check Roads to Avoid, Diversions

Commuters have been advised to avoid JLN Marg (Rajghat to Delhi Gate), Asaf Ali Road (Turkman Gate to Delhi Gate), and Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg (Delhi Gate to ITO) on both carriageways.

Depending on traffic conditions, diversions and restrictions may also be imposed on Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg and JLN Marg during the day.

Spectators heading to the stadium are advised to follow designated entry routes:

  • Gate 1-8 (South Side): Entry via BSZ Marg
  • Gate 10-15 (East Side): Entry via JLN Marg (near Ambedkar Stadium Bus Terminal)
  • Gate 16-18 (West Side): Entry via BSZ Marg (near petrol pump)
