IRCTC Website Down: The website of the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC website) recorded a technical glitch on Saturday morning as an influx of Bihar, UP-bound passengers overwhelmed the platform

Some users claimed that the site did not work as they tried to book tickets.

While IRCTC has not issued any official statement regarding the alleged glitch or website overloading, it did reply to users' complaints regarding the problems they were facing on X.

Replying to an X post regarding problems during ticket booking, IRCTC asked the user to raise a concern on the designated platform. Kindly raise your concern/complaint on https://equery.irctc.co.in/irctc_equery/ using registered mobile no /mail id,” IRCTC replied to a post in which a user had written, "Irctc website is down while ticket booking Sir. Plz do needful". The user had attached the screenshot of the issue.

Downdetector, an outage tracking portal, reported around 180 reports over IRCTC at around 10:07 am on Saturday.

Another X user claimed that the IRCTC website had not been working for the past few days during the Tatkal ticket timing. The user wrote on X, “@IRCTCofficial @RailMinIndia @RailwaySeva @SWRRLY @AshwiniVaishnaw worst app from past 3-4 days app is not working during tatkal time...sorry state of affairs..."

Indian Railways is operating 12000 additional trains across routes to accommodate the additional passenger influx during Diwali and Chhath Puja celebrations.
