The rumors of Congress stalwart Kamal Nath and his son Nakul Nath possibly joining the BJP have stirred the political circles in Madhya Pradesh. Nakul sparked speculation of a potential political switch after removing the party name and symbol from his social media bio.
Amid the speculation, Kamal Nath, currently in New Delhi, is rumored to hold meetings with BJP leaders today, further igniting anticipation regarding his and his son's political allegiance.
Responding to queries about his rumored BJP affiliation, former Madhya Pradesh CM Kamal Nath stated, "Why are you all getting excited? It is not about denying. I will inform you all if there is something like that."

"If there would be any such thing, I would inform you first. It is not about denying, you are saying this, and you people are getting excited. I am not getting excited, this side or that side, but if there would be any such thing, I would inform you first," Mr Nath told reporters in Delhi.
Responding to the speculations, Madhya Pradesh Congress President Jitu Patwari said, " For the first time when Kamal Nath fought elections, then Indira Gandhi said that Kamal Nath is her third son. Can you imagine Indira Gandhi's third son leaving Congress? Can't think about something like that even in dreams."

Earlier this month, Nakul Nath, the lone Lok Sabha Congress MP from Madhya Pradesh, declared himself as the Congress candidate from the Chhindwara Lok Sabha seat. Chhindwara has been Kamal Nath's bastion for nine consecutive terms, and despite the BJP's statewide success in the 2019 elections, Nakul Nath secured victory in the Chhindwara constituency.
