In the session held for Saharanpur residents, Vishvas News Deputy Editor Devika Mehta highlighted the importance of the initiative. She said that at a time when scammers are constantly inventing new tactics, awareness is essential for protection. She also explained ways to create strong passwords to secure Google and social media accounts.

Vishvas News Chief Sub-Editor Pragya Shukla briefed participants on different types of scams, how they operate, and the measures needed to avoid them. She said that during festivals, scammers often circulate phishing links with attractive offers to mislead people, steal personal information, and cause financial losses.

The Lions Club of Saharanpur Mayur also supported the event. Its president, Rajiv Sachdeva, termed such initiatives the need of the hour and said that staying alert can help prevent online fraud.

A similar webinar was organised for the people of Ayodhya on Tuesday. Opening the session, Devika Mehta explained that a strong Google account password can be created using a line from a song or poem and further secured using a passkey through a face scan, fingerprint, or screen lock.

Meanwhile, Deputy Editor Sharad Prakash Asthana warned participants about investment scams and fake job scams. He said that scammers often create deepfake videos of celebrities to persuade people to invest on dubious platforms. He cautioned that one should be careful if someone urges them to invest money hastily and advised thoroughly checking job offers beforehand.
