Google, in collaboration with Dainik Jagran and Vishvas News, organised a seminar for senior citizens in Faridabad, Haryana, on Friday, as part of its prestigious 'DigiKavach' program. The event was held under the 'Digital Safety of Senior Citizens: Sach Ke Sathi' campaign. During the seminar, senior citizens were informed about various types of online scams and were taught practical methods to avoid them.

At the event, held at the Government Senior Secondary School in Sihi, Sector 7, experts from Vishvas News emphasised the program's importance, noting that cybercriminals attempt to ensnare people through diverse means, including phishing links and fake websites. They stressed that vigilance is essential to prevent falling victim to these attacks.

Devika Mehta, Deputy Editor at Vishvas News, demonstrated how to create strong passwords for Google and social media accounts. She recommended using Passkeys and enabling Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) for enhanced security. She also advised against clicking on phishing links that accompany enticing messages.
