Amid the continuous reports of terrorist attacks, the Indian Army is conducting joint operations with the Jammu and Kashmir Police to eliminate foreign terrorists. The soldiers are infiltrating the Udhampur, Doda, Kishtwar and Bhaderwah areas and then into the Kashmir Valley. Similar operations are also being carried out continuously in the Kathua area.

This comes as four soldiers lost their lives after an encounter broke out between security forces and terrorists in the Desa Forest area, of Jammu & Kashmir's Doda on Monday evening. The soldiers killed in action have been identified as Captain Brijesh Thapa, Naik D Rajesh, Sepoy Bijendra and Sepoy Ajay.
