An encounter broke out between security forces and terrorists in the Udhampur district of Jammu and Kashmir on Thursday. Officials stated that the terrorists initiated gunfire on the security personnel, who promptly returned fire. The skirmish occurred in a forested region. Contact Site of the ongoing operation is Doda-Udhampur border. 

No casualties have been reported at this time. Shortly after the Udhampur encounter, another exchange of fire between security forces and terrorists began in Kishtwar. The Indian Army’s White Knight Corps, in a post on X, said that operations are currently underway.

“In an intelligence-based operation in the general area of Kishtwar, alert troops of #WhiteKnightCorps established contact with terrorists at around 8 pm on 19 Sep 25. Exchange of fire took place. Operations are currently in progress," the White Knight Corps wrote.

Manipur: Assam Rifles Truck Ambushed By Armed Men In Bishnupur

This comes same day after two Assam Rifles personnel, including a Junior Commissioned Officer (JCO) were killed in an attack by terrorists in Manipur's Nambol Sabal area of Bishnupur district, senior security officials said.

Five others were injured in the attack.

The incident took place on September 19 at around 5:50 pm when a vehicle-based column of troops of 33 Assam Rifles was moving from its Patsoi Company Operating Base to Nambol Company Operating Base. In the general area of Nambol Sabal Leikai, the column was ambushed by unidentified terrorists on the highway in the denotified area of Manipur.

Officials said terrorists opened fire on the vehicle carrying the troops and later fled in a white van.
