The results for the Jharkhand Assembly election 2024 are out, with the INDIA bloc achieving a resounding victory by securing 56 out of 81 seats against the NDA, which was limited to 24 seats. Despite much speculation that the BJP-led NDA could oust the JMM-led INDIA bloc in the state, the saffron party faced a significant defeat.

Tribal seats proved challenging for the BJP alliance, with only one win out of 28 reserved tribal constituencies. The INDIA bloc dominated these seats, securing victory in 27 of the reserved SC seats. This continues the BJP's declining influence in tribal areas, as it only managed to win two seats in the 2019 elections. Despite inducting veteran leader Champai Soren into the party before the polls, BJP's sole tribal win came from Seraikela, Champai Soren’s traditional constituency.

Additionally, in the nine Scheduled Caste-reserved seats, the BJP managed to win three. The JMM and Congress each won two seats, while RJD and LJP secured one seat each.
