Jharkhand Weather: According to India Meteorological Department (IMD) there is no possibility of monsoon entering the state for the next 5 to 6 days. During this time, the weather will remain clear and dry, while the temperature may increase. According to meteorologists, the conditions which were earlier favourable for the monsoon in Jharkhand have now changed due to low pressure in the Bay of Bengal. As a result, temperature is likely to increase in the capital city Ranchi.
The Meteorological Department has forecast severe heat in Jharkhand in the first week of June. However, following this, rain is likely in the state. At present, the monsoon is active in states like Odisha, Chhattisgarh, Maharashtra, Assam and Sikkim.
The monsoon will enter Jharkhand via West Bengal and Bihar. Meteorologist Abhishek Anand said that the maximum temperature may increase by 3 to 5 degrees in the next few days. This will cause hot and humid conditions during the day. However, light rain is expected in some parts of Santhal Pargana.
Monsoon Update
IMD on Sunday stated that several states are likely to witness light to heavy rainfall in the upcoming few days. The northeastern states have been receiving rainfall for the past few days, and the weather department also confirmed that the region will continue to witness rainfall for the next five days. Apart from this, the IMD also stated that northern states, including Delhi-NCR, parts of Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, and Haryana, are expected to receive light rainfall until June 7. The weather department confirmed that the temperature is likely to reduce in these states by two to three degrees Celsius, providing a major relief from the scorching heat.
