Jharkhand Weather Update: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) stated that several districts of Jharkhand received heavy rainfall in the early hours of Monday, leading to inconveniences to the residents. The weather department stated that the rainfall has provided relief from the scorching heat by reducing the temperature by two to four degrees Celsius. However, it also stated that the excessive rainfall has led to waterlogging and power outages in many districts, causing inconveniences. The weather department has advised the residents to follow the guidelines and limit their outings to avoid any inconveniences.
These Jharkhand districts to witness rain
While providing details, the weather department stated that several districts of Jharkhand, including East Singhbhum, West Singhbhum, Simdega, Seraikela-Kharswan, Deoghar, Dumka, Giridih, Godda, Jamtara, Pakur, Sahibganj, Ranchi, Bokaro, Dhanbad, Khunti, and Ramgarh, are expected to receive moderate to heavy rainfall for the next few days. Apart from heavy rainfall, these districts are also set to witness thunderstorms and gusty winds.
The officials also stated that vehicular movement in Ranchi has been affected, as the city has been receiving rainfall continuously for the past two days. The IMD stated that the city received 30.2 mm of rainfall till 5.30 pm on Sunday, which continued till the early hours of Monday. "Major parts of the state are likely to experience widespread rainfall for three days under the influence of a cyclonic circulation and trough line," one of the officials was quoted as saying by The Hindu.

The weather department advised the farmers to protect their crops and not hide beneath any big tree or electricity pole to avoid any inconveniences. The IMD further stated that several other states, including West Bengal, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, and Delhi, are also likely to witness light to heavy rainfall for the next few days.
