Jharkhand IMD Weather Alert: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Wednesday stated that several districts of Jharkhand are expected to receive light to heavy rainfall till June 1. The weather department stated that along with rainfall, these districts are also likely to witness thunderstorms and gusty winds. Apart from this, the IMD also stated that the rainfall will reduce the temperature by two to four degrees Celsius, providing major relief from the scorching heat. It also advised the residents of these areas to follow the guidelines and limit their outings to avoid any inconveniences.

While providing details, the weather department stated that a low-pressure area is going to develop in the northwest Bay of Bengal, leading to light to heavy rainfall in multiple districts. The IMD stated that several districts, including Deoghar, Dhanbad, Godda, Giridih, Jamtara, Pakur, and Sahibganj, are likely to receive rainfall along with thunderstorms and gusty winds till May 30. Apart from this, a major portion of the state is expected to witness cloudy skies and thunderstorms on May 31.

The authority further stated that heavy rain is expected in multiple districts, including Giridih, Dhanbad, Sahibganj, Pakur, Godda, Dumka, Deoghar, and Jamtara, on May 30. The weather department also stated that rain with thunder has been recorded at many places in the last 24 hours, adding that while the maximum temperature was recorded at 37 degrees Celsius, the minimum temperature remained around 24 degrees Celsius.

Apart from this, the weather department also stated that Bihar and West Bengal are also expected to receive rainfall in the upcoming few days. While providing details, the IMD stated that several districts of Bihar, including Siwan, Kishanganj, Nalanda, Madhubani, Purnia, Araria, Aurangabad, Bhagalpur, Sheikhpura, Katihar, Kishanganj, Sitamarhi, Sheohar, Muzzaffarpur, Vaishali, Banka, and Bhagalpur, are likely to receive rainfall till May 31.
