Jammu-Kashmir has witnessed several terror attacks recently with over a dozen people being killed in the union territory in the last 15 days in seven different attacks. Security has also been heightened across J-K amid the rising terror attacks. In the most recent attack, two Army porters and two civilian porters were killed after terrorists attacked a military vehicle in Baramulla on Thursday. Let's take a look at the recent similar cases:
Two Army Soldiers And Two Civilians Killed In Pulwama: On Thursday, October 25, two Indian Army soldiers and two civilian porters were killed in Baramulla. According to the Indian Army officials, one soldier and one porter are injured and undergoing treatment.
Labourer Shot And Injured In Pulwama: In another attack on Thursday, terrorists shot and injured a labourer in the Batgund Tral area of Pulwama district. The labour was identified as Shubham Kumar, a resident of Uttar Pradesh's Bijnore. On the same day, the body of a non-local was also found in Srinagar, however, the officials denied the deceased being killed by terrorist and cited an animal attack as a cause of death.
One Doctor, Six Construction Workers Killed In Ganderbal: On October 20, a doctor and six construction workers were killed when terrorists attacked a tunnel construction site on the Srinagar-Leh national highway in the Ganderbal district. The terrorists struck as the labourers and other staff returned to their camp in Gund, Ganderbal. The seven deceased were identified as Dr Shahnawaz from Budgam in central Kashmir, Fayaz Ahmad Lone (26), Gurmeet Singh (30) from Punjab’s Gurdaspur, Inder Yadav (35) from Bihar, Mohan Lal (30) and Jagtar Singh (30) from Kathua in Jammu and Zahoor Ahmad Lone from Kashmir.
Bihar Labourer Killed In Shopian: A labourer from Bihar was killed by terrorists in the Shopian district on October 18. The laborer's body, full of bullet wounds, was discovered in a field in the Wachi area of Zainapora.
Body Of Abducted Soldier Found In Anantnag: On October 9, the security forces recovered the body of missing soldier of the territorial army who had been abducted by terrorists in the Anantnag area of Jammu and Kashmir. According to sources, the jawan identified as Hilal Ahmad Bhath was discovered with bullet wounds in a forest area of Anantnag district.
