Railway News: In a major announcement, the railway on Saturday announced that the Jyotirling Yatra train will depart from Gorakhpur on June 30 for key religious sites. The railway stated that this train will take the passengers to multiple religious sites, including Mahakaleshwar Jyotirling in Ujjain, Omkareshwar Jyotirling, Dwarkadhish in Gujarat, Bhet Dwarika, Nageshwar Jyotirling, Signature Bridge, Somnath Jyotirling, Trayambakeshwar Jyotirling in Nasik, Panchvati, Kalaram Temple, Bhimashankar Jyotirling, Ghrishneshwar Jyotirling in Aurangabad, and other local temples in its 11-night and 12-day journey.
While providing details, the advisory stated that the train will depart from Gorakhpur and will pass through several Uttar Pradesh railway stations, including Mankapur Junction, Ayodhya Cantt, Sultanpur, Pratapgarh, Prayagraj Sangam, Raebareli, Lucknow, Kanpur, Orai, Jhansi, and Lalitpur.
The advisory further stated that the train will return via the same route on July 11. Chief Regional Manager of Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) Ajit Kumar Sinha stated that the railways had already made all the arrangements, adding that the local journeys would be completed by AC buses, reported Jagran.Com.
The cost of the journey is likely to start at Rs 20,000, and the railway has also provided the option to pay the price via EMI payment of Rs 826 per month. The railway stated that the decision was taken to provide convenience to the passengers and to promote religious tourism among the residents of several income groups.
The railway stated that ticket booking has already started, adding that the detailed information is available on the IRCTC website. The authority further stated that booking of travel packages will be done on a first-come, first-served basis.
The railway had earlier stated that the train is being operated to provide convenience to the passengers, adding that the passengers will be able to visit several religious sites at a reasonable price.
