Kalindi Kunj Road Status: In a major boost to the connectivity of Delhi-NCR, Kalindi Kunj road, which has direct connectivity to Delhi, Noida and Greater Noida will be upgraded to a four-lane road. An MoU has been signed between the Uttar Pradesh Irrigation Department and Faridabad Metropolitan Development Authority, jagran.com reported. Uttar Pradesh Irrigation Department will soon issue a tender, following which the construction will start.
The work is likely to begin in February. The land being given for the road will be free of cost. The ownership of the land will remain with the Uttar Pradesh Irrigation Department and the entire money for building the road will be given by FMDA. Whenever repairs are to be done in between, it will be done by FMDA only.
Kalindi Kunj Road Upgrade Cost
After the Kalindi Kunj road upgrades to four-lanes, more than one lakh commuters will get relief every day. The cost of the project is around Rs 278 crore. Under this project, a 20-km-long four-lane road will be built from Sahupura Chowk to Palla Bridge.
Kalindi Kunj Will Be Connected To Delhi-Mumbai Expressway
From Palla Bridge, this road will become a part of the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway which is going further till Kalindi Kunj. Along with the road, a 20-km long footpath and cycle track will also be built. There will be a 1.5 metre divider as well in the middle.
A green belt will also be developed on one side of the road. Both lanes for vehicles will be 15 metres wide. A three metre wide cycle track and a 1.80 metre wide footpath will be built. Flyovers will also be built at six places on this road. These include IMT, Chandavali, Sector-8 Baroli, BPTP, Khedi Cut and Palla.
Near Sahupura, this road will connect to the highway going to Noida International Airport.
