The Moodbidri police have reportedly found over 50 obscene video clips in the mobile phone of Hindu Jagaran Vedike leader, Samith Raj Dharegudde, who is the outfit’s Dakshin Kannada district co-convenor. Dharegudde was jailed for a stone pelting case and is currently out on bail. 

The objectionable videos were found during the investigation into the stone pelting case involving a private bus. The police conducted a forensic data extraction at Mangaluru's CEN Lab after obtaining permission from the court and senior officers.

During the investigation, police were shocked to find numerous explicit videos. One video even involves a prominent coastal politician in an objectionable situation. 

Now, Moodbidri Inspector Sandesh has registered a separate FIR in connection with the retrieved videos under relevant sections. Officials have expressed concern about the obscene video being circulated, which can harm social harmony and public decency.

Police are currently working to trace the origin of the videos and verify the identities of those depicted. Officials confirmed that a fresh notice will be issued to summon Dharegudde for questioning concerning the obscene video content, the news agency PTI reported.
