Karnataka Weather Update: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Tuesday stated that several districts of Karnataka are likely to witness light to heavy rainfall for the next few days. The weather department stated that the continuous rainfall will reduce the temperature in certain regions by two to three degrees Celsius. Apart from this, the rainfall is also likely to lead to issues like waterlogging in key cities, leading to issues for the commuters. The IMD also stated that the coastal regions are also expected to witness thunderstorms and gusty winds, along with heavy rainfall.

While providing details, the weather department stated that several districts, including Dakshina Kannada, Udupi, southern interior Kodagu, Mysore, Chamarajanagar, and Mandya, are likely to witness heavy rainfall for the next two to three days. Apart from this, the coastal and Malnad regions are also expected to receive moderate rainfall on Thursday. The IMD has directed the district administration to take necessary steps and advised the residents to follow the guidelines to avoid any inconveniences.

The IMD also stated that the capital city, Bengaluru, is also likely to witness light rainfall for the next few days. The residents of Bengaluru are also expected to witness cloudy skies and gentle breezes, especially in the morning and evening hours. While the maximum temperature is likely to be calculated at 27 degrees Celsius, the minimum temperature is expected to remain around 17 degrees Celsius.

The rainfall will lead to waterlogging in the key areas of the tech city, leading to inconvenience to the daily commuters. The weather department also stated that the minimum temperature in several districts, including Kalaburagi, Bidar, Raichur and Koppal is likely to drop by 4 to 6 degrees in the upcoming days.

The fishermen of the coastal regions are advised to maintain a distance from the water bodies and limit their financial activities to avoid inconveniences.
