Kerala Assembly Election: With just few days remaining in the Kerala assembly polls, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday launched sharp attack on the two leading alliances of the state- Left Democratic Front (LDF) and the Congress-led United Democratic Front (UDF). He asserted that despite getting sufficient time, these alliances did nothing for the state. While addressing a crowd in Palakkad, the prime minister stated that the poll-bound state is set for a political change, adding that the NDA will transform the state into "Viksit Keralam".

"I sense a new and distinct energy in Keralam. The state is sending a clear message of change. With the growing popularity of the NDA and the increasing support for the BJP among the people, your enthusiasm and strong presence in such large numbers here in Palakkad demonstrate that Keralam's mood has transformed into a movement. Now, Keralam places its trust in the BJP and the NDA," PM Modi stated.

While accusing the LDF and UDF of doing vote bank politics, the prime minister assured that the state will undergo rapid development under the NDA government. "All policies of the LDF and UDF exist solely for the sake of vote-bank politics. They have absolutely no concern for the development of Keralam," he stated

"Now, I assure you that the BJP-NDA government formed here will drive the rapid development of Keralam and build a developed Keralam... this is Modi's Guarantee," the prime minister added.  PM Modi further claimed that both LDF and UDF have been involved in corruption, but have not taken action against each other.

He stated that a detailed probe will be launched when the saffron party will form its government for the first time. "LDF and UDF have done a lot of scams. Both don’t take action against each other," he said. "When BJP comes to power, we will investigate all the scams and bring out the truth," PM Modi added.
