Kunal Kamra Row: In a fresh series of events, three separate cases were filed against stand-up comedian Kunal Kamra on Saturday in connection with his controversial remarks on Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde. The cases were filed against the comedian at Khar police station of West Mumbai, in which the complainant stated that the comedian had used derogatory remarks against the deputy chief minister.

The Mumbai police stated that while one of the complaints was filed by the mayor of Jalgaon city, the other two complaints were lodged by a hotelier and a businessman from Nashik. Earlier last week, Khar police had called the comedian for questioning, but he did not appear for the investigation, seeking extra time. However, the police had declined his requests by asking him to be present for the questioning.
