Jagran Correspondent, Patna | Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) president and former Bihar Chief Minister Lalu Prasad Yadav's health suddenly deteriorated on Friday. He reached the IGIMS in the evening for a routine eye examination. During the examination, fluctuations in his blood pressure (BP) were detected, after which doctors conducted an ECG.
After noticing unusual changes in his blood pressure, doctors conducted an ECG as a precaution and kept him under observation. Yadav was kept under the observation of a team of doctors for about two hours.
Lalu Discharged After Improvement In BP
His health remained stable during his hospital stay, and no new complications were noticed. After his condition stabilised, doctors allowed him to go home and advised him to take necessary precautions.

Lalu Prasad Yadav Underwent Heart And Kidney Surgery
Yadav suffered from several serious health issues related to kidney and heart. He underwent a kidney transplant in Singapore. His kidney transplantation surgery was successfully conducted on December 5, 2022, receiving a kidney from his second-eldest daughter, Rohini Acharya. He had also undergone heart surgery and eye surgery at AIIMS, New Delhi.
Advised To Consult AIIMS Delhi
IGIMS Deputy Director and spokesperson Dr Vibhuti Prasanna Sinha said Yadav was kept under observation for a few hours as a precaution due to his previous heart surgery. Doctors also advised him to consult AIIMS, New Delhi for further advice, asserting that there was no life-threatening situation.
According to the hospital administration, Yadav's condition is currently stable, and there is no cause for concern. Since his regular health check-ups are conducted at AIIMS, Delhi, he has been advised to seek expert advice from there.
