LIC Golden Jubilee Scholarship Scheme 2024: The Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) has brought in the Golden Jubilee Scholarship Scheme for students from the Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) to pursue higher education. The scholarship will be offered to students studying in India at a government or private college/university. It will also cover technical and vocational courses offered by Industrial Training Institutes/Centres associated with the National Council for Vocational Training (NCVT), as well as Integrated Courses after Class 12.

The scholarships will be divided into two types: general scholarships and special scholarships for girl children.

“A brighter future begins with the right opportunity. We are proud to announce the launch of the GJF Scholarship Scheme 2024. Applications will open on 08.12.2024, available online for eligible students across the country," the official handle of LIC posted on X.

The online application process for the Golden Jubilee Scholarship Scheme 2024 commenced on December 8 and will close on December 22, 2024.

LIC Golden Jubilee Scholarship Scheme 2024: Check Eligibility

According to LIC, the Golden Jubilee Foundation Scholarship Scheme 2024 is available on an India-wide basis to students who passed standard Class 10, 12 diploma, or equivalent examinations with a minimum of 60 per cent or equivalent CGPA grade in the academic years 2021-22, 2022-23, or 2023-24 and have taken first-year admission in the academic year 2024-25.

General scholarships for boys and girls seeking higher education in:

– Medicine, engineering, graduating in any discipline, diploma programs in any field, or integrated courses.

– Vocational courses through government-recognized colleges/institutions or courses in industrial training institutes (ITI).

Special scholarships for girls for two years of study in:

– Classes 11 and 12/intermediate follow the 10+2 pattern.

– After Class 10, complete a two-year diploma course in any field.
