The bus in which former Telangana Chief Minister and BRS supremo K Chandrasekhar Rao were traveling, was inspected on Sunday by the poll officers during his visit to Suryapet district. The inspection was a part of the poll duty.
The elections in Telangana will take place on May 13 for which the Model Code Conduct (MCC) is currently in place.
K Chandrasekhar Rao was en route to Suryapet, according to BRS sources cited by PTI, as part of his journey to evaluate agricultural fields that are purportedly facing drought-like conditions. The sources stated that the vehicle was checked at the Edulaparre Tanda check post in the district.
Meanwhile, KCR on Sunday spoke about the work done by his party in the past eight years.
"For the past 8 years, the BRS government took steps for farmers' development. Farmers were given water, financial assistance, power supply and other facilities. During the BRS govt, there were no power cuts. Back then, if the current was gone, it was news but now if the current is there, it becomes news...As Hyderabad was getting investments in IT and the Industrial sector, we changed Hyderabad City into a power Island city," he said.
