LPG Crisis: Amid the reports of a shortage of gas cylinders due to the war between Iran and Israel-US, most gas agencies in Gurugram have suspended online bookings, reported Jagran.com. The consumers gathered outside these agencies in several regions of the 'Cyber City' after being unable to book the services online. While the authorities have assured no disruption in the distribution of gas cylinders, the consumers have complained of a sudden surge in prices and unavailability.
The consumers, while providing details, stated that they were forced to make repeated trips to the agencies to book gas cylinders, reported Jagran.com. A long queue of residents was reported outside the Golden Gas Agency in Palam Vihar after they were unable to book the cylinders online. As per the report, several consumers had to return empty-handed even after waiting for several hours due to the shortage.

Earlier on Friday, the Gurugram authorities advised the consumers to lodge complaints in case they faced difficulties in obtaining LPG cylinders from distributors.
"To ensure that consumers do not face inconvenience, complaints received on the helpline numbers will be examined by the respective companies, and strict action will be taken if any irregularities are found," the statement from DC Ajay Kumar read.
The gas agencies are available in several regions of Gurugram, including Huda Market, Sector 40, Madanpuri Road, Sarhaul, Ashok Vihar, Phase 1 Sushant Lok, and Shiv Shanker Market. The centre has assured that there is no shortage of gas cylinders; however, the residents in several cities, including Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai, and Bengaluru, have complained of shortages and price surges.
