UP Crime: A 46-year-old woman, along with her two daughters, killed her 35-year-old living partner in the Green City area under the jurisdiction of the BBD police station, Lucknow.

The reason behind the murder was allegedly the victim’s ‘inappropriate intentions’ towards the woman’s elder daughter. According to police, the accused woman and her two daughters, aged 17 and 14, slit the throat of the engineer, following a heated argument.

Police said the woman called the police control room on Monday morning and confessed to the crime after spending 10 hours with the body inside the home with her two daughters, following the incident. A police team rushed to the spot and found the man lying in a pool of blood in the rented house.

The engineer’s father filed an FIR against the son’s live-in partner and her two minor daughters. During initial questioning, the woman told police that the deceased had been making unwanted advances towards her elder daughter for several days and even attempted to molest her, sparking repeated arguments between the couple.

Police say the woman, assisted by her daughters, allegedly used a kitchen knife to slit the man’s throat while he was asleep. All three have been detained, and a murder case has been registered. Investigation is ongoing.

The forensic team has recovered the weapon from the incident site.

The victim, an executive engineer from Deoria (UP), first met the woman in 2012 when he started giving private tuition to her daughters in Jankipuram, Lucknow. After her husband passed away in 2014, the two gradually entered into a live-in relationship despite strong opposition from both families.

The engineer later moved to Ghaziabad for work, and the woman, along with her two daughters, joined him there. The deceased’s father has alleged that the woman and her daughters financially exploited his son for years and ‘trapped’ him.
