JE News Desk: As many as eight inmates from a juvenile home in Madhya Pradesh's Morena have escaped after breaking the wall of a bathroom, the police said on Monday. The inmates were accused of various crimes including rape and murder.
The incident took place on Sunday, July 2 at the juvenile home located on Nainagarh Road, an official said. According to City Superintendent of Police Atul Singh, eight out of twelve juvenile undertrials escaped after breaking the wall of a bathroom at around 7 pm on Sunday.

After Kotwali police station was informed about the incident by the Special Armed Force guard posted at the juvenile home at around 8 pm, the police started a search for the inmates.
Efforts were on to trace them, Singh said as quoted by PTI.
The juveniles who escaped the juvenile home are residents of Morena, Bhind and Sheopur districts, the official said.

Last month in June, an alleged honour killing case was reported from Morena where an 18-year-old girl and her 21-year-old boyfriend were allegedly killed by her family. According to police, the family of the girl dumped the bodies of the couple into the crocodile-infested waters of the Chambal River.

Irked over the denial of a second marriage, a 48-year-old man from Morena allegedly opened fire on his brother-in-law in Madhya Pradesh. The incident was reported from the Prem Nagar area under the Civil Line police station limits in Morena district.
