JE News Desk: Ahead of the Madhya Pradesh Assembly Election, scheduled to take place later this year, BJP leader, Baijnath Singh, has severed his ties with the ruling BJP and joined Congress on Thursday. Baijnath's return to Congress was marked by a grand cavalcade consisting of 400 cars, covering a distance of approximately 300 km from Shivpuri to Bhopal in Madhya Pradesh.
Baijnath Singh had previously joined the BJP during the 2020 rebellion led by Jyotiraditya Scindia, which resulted in the downfall of the Kamal Nath government and the BJP's return to power. However, Singh's hopes of receiving a BJP ticket for the upcoming Assembly polls were dashed, prompting his decision to rejoin the Congress.

Upon viewing the viral video, several social media users drew comparisons between the cavalcade and scenes from the popular Bollywood film "Singham," due to the long line of SUVs. The BJP has criticised the use of sirens, accusing the Congress of possessing a "feudal mindset."

BJP spokesperson Dr Hitesh Bajpayee said, "This is the mentality of Congress leaders who use hooters, sirens, and illegal beacons, disturbing the public. Prime Minister Narendra Modi had eliminated VIP culture from the streets, but it is the Congress's feudal mindset that drives them to use sirens. I strongly condemn this and urge the authorities to take action."
