Madhya Pradesh Weather: As per India Meteorological Department (IMD), Madhya Pradesh is set to experience another spell of rain due to a Western Disturbance. According to the weather body, light rain is likely in around 15 MP districts including Bhopal, Indore, and Gwalior, on January 29, Wednesday. The rain is likely to extend into early February, signaling a change in weather patterns.
Madhya Pradesh has witnessed significant dip in temperatures across the state recently, leading to intense cold conditions. However, relief from the cold is expected from January 30 onwards, as temperatures are predicted to rise by 2 to 3 degrees Celsius during the day and night. The onset of rain will further alter the weather, moderating the winter chill.
Madhya Pradesh Weather: Weather Systems In Action
The weather department has forecast two active Western Disturbances, one on January 29 and the other on February 1, which will influence the state's weather for several days. The effects of these disturbances would persist until February 4, particularly in the eastern and southern regions. Districts such as Rewa, Shahdol, Jabalpur, Sagar, Gwalior, Chambal, and Narmadapuram are likely to receive sporadic rainfall during this period.
Madhya Pradesh Weather: Temperature Pattern
Over the past week, southeastern winds had temporarily eased the cold conditions in Madhya Pradesh. However, since Friday, temperatures have fallen once again. Several cities recorded significantly low night temperatures on Sunday and Monday, with Kalyanpur in Shahdol being the coldest at 2.8 degree Celsius. Other notable lows included Umaria (4.8 degree Celsius), Singrauli’s Devra (5.3 degree Celsius), and Mandla (6 degree Celsius).
Among major cities, Gwalior registered the lowest temperature at 6.3°C, followed by Bhopal (8.3 Degree celsius), Jabalpur (7.4 degree Celsius), Indore (12.5 degree Celsius), and Ujjain (11.2 degree Celsius).
