MahaKumbh Mela Special Train: The much-anticipated Maha Kumbh Mela 2025 will commence on January 13, 2025 and is expected to draw millions of pilgrims to Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh. The festival, one of the holiest in Hinduism, will conclude on February 26, 2025, coinciding with Maha Shivratri. During this period, Indian Railways has put in place extensive measures to ensure smooth travel for devotees, with over 3,000 special trains scheduled to operate. This includes a dedicated ring rail network, connecting key pilgrimage sites.

The special trains are designed to enhance connectivity between Prayagraj and other significant destinations like Ayodhya, Varanasi and Chitrakoot. These services are aimed at easing the travel of millions expected to flock to the Triveni Sangam for rituals and prayers. In addition to the 3,000 special trains, over 10,000 regular trains will operate during the festival.

For those travelling via Southern Central Railway (SCR), the following special trains have been scheduled:

7701: Guntur – Azamgarh, Departure: 23:00, Arrival: 17:15 (next day), Date: January 24

7702: Azamgarh – Guntur, Departure: 19:45, Arrival: 09:00 (next day), Date: January 26

7707: Moula Ali – Azamgarh, Departure: 23:55, Arrival: 17:15 (next day), Date: January 18, January 21

7708: Azamgarh – Moula Ali, Departure: 19:45, Arrival: 07:30 (next day), Date: January 20, January 23

7711: Moula Ali – Gaya, Departure: 17:50, Arrival: 09:00 (next day), Date: January 19

7712: Gaya – Moula Ali, Departure: 19:45, Arrival: 07:30 (next day), Date: January 21

7729: Moula Ali – Gaya, Departure: 17:00, Arrival: 09:00 (next day), Date: January 22

7730: Gaya – Moula Ali, Departure: 19:45, Arrival: 07:30 (next day), Date: January 24

7719: Guntur – Gaya, Departure: 14:20, Arrival: 09:00 (next day), Date: January 25

7720: Gaya – Guntur, Departure: 14:15, Arrival: 04:00 (next day), Date: January 27

7721: Nanded – Patna, Departure: 23:00, Arrival: 10:30 (next day), Date: January 22
