Mahashivratri 2025 Dry Day: One of the most important Hindu festivals, Mahashivratri, is observed all throughout India in honour of Lord Shiva, one of the main gods of the Hindu Trinity. Known as the "Great Night of Shiva," the event is celebrated with a great deal of fervor.
On this occasion, Delhi, Noida, and Gurugram will all have dry days tomorrow, February 26. In these areas, liquor stores will not be open.
In celebration of Mahashivratri, all Maharashtra cities will also have a dry day, according to the Economic Times.
Every year, during the Hindu month of Phalguna (February–March), on the fourteenth night of the waning moon, Mahashivratri is celebrated with much fanfare. The holy day falls on February 26, 2025, this year.
All businesses that sell alcohol, including liquor stores, wine shops, and venues that serve alcohol, are required to be closed all day.

To guarantee compliance, local authorities will carry out stringent inspections; infractions may result in penalties or legal action.
The Maharashtra government has declared a dry day on February 26, 2025, throughout the state. Liquor sales would be restricted in Mumbai and other areas of Maharashtra. Similarly, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, and Delhi will have a dry day during Mahashivratri.
