In a fresh attack, BJP MP Nishikant Dubey has accused TMC MP Mahua Moitra of using her parliamentary login ID in Dubai while she was in India. He claimed that the National Informatics Centre (NIC) has provided this information to investigative agencies.

In a social media post, Dubey questioned whether Moitra's actions compromised the country's security and mentioned that the NIC shared this information with a probe agency without specifying which one.

In a post on X, BJP MP wrote, “An MP mortgaged the country's security for some money. Parliament IDs were opened from Dubai, at that time the alleged MP was in India. The entire Indian government, the Prime Minister of the country, the Finance Department, and the central agencies are on this NIC. Do @AITCofficial and the opposition still want to do politics, it is the public's decision, NIC gave this information to the investigating agency.”

Dubey didn't directly name Moitra, but he has accused her of accepting bribes and favors in exchange for asking questions in Lok Sabha to target the Adani Group and Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The Lok Sabha's Ethics Committee is investigating his complaint, and Hiranandani, a businessman, admitted to using Moitra's parliamentary login for this purpose in an affidavit submitted to the committee.

The Lok Sabha's Ethics Committee is looking into Dubey's complaint and has asked him to appear before it on October 26 for recording "oral evidence".

While her party has been quiet on the issue, Moitra has been combative in response to the allegations, and continues to criticise the Adani Group and Dubey while denying the charges against her. She has expressed willingness to answer questions from investigative agencies and the Ethics Committee if called upon.

Mahua Moitra said on Friday, "I welcome answering questions to CBI and Ethics Committee (which has an absolute majority of BJP members) if and when they call me. I have neither time nor interest to feed an Adani-directed media circus trial or answer BJP trolls. I am enjoying Durga Puja in Nadia. Shubho Sashthi."
