In the latest development in the ongoing murder case of Merchant Navy officer Saurabh Rajput, an audio clip of his wife, Muskan Rastogi who is the prime accused has gone viral on social media platforms.

The viral WhatsApp voice note reveals Muskan instructing her cab driver to purchase a cake and notify her through a message once he gets it. She also insists that he should not call her and should deliver the cake to her hotel room, mentioning that he could retrieve it the following morning. According to reports, the cake was ordered to celebrate Sahil's birthday on March 11.

Investigations reveal that on March 4, Muskan and Sahil allegedly drugged Saurabh, killed him, and dismembered his body into 15 pieces. They then sealed the remains in a cement drum to dispose of them. After committing the crime, the couple reportedly took a vacation to Shimla and Manali. Both Muskan and Sahil confessed to the crime after their arrest.

Family Demands Capital Punishment

In a shocking statement, Muskan's father, Pramod, demanded the death penalty for his daughter, condemning her actions. "My daughter (Muskan) killed her husband (Saurabh)… She is not fit for society and is a danger to everyone. I would advise others not to take such steps… She should be hanged till death, and if possible, it should be shown live," he told ANI.

He further urged the authorities to deliver swift justice, adding, "The verdict in this case should come quickly, and I don’t want anything less than capital punishment for her… What she did is very wrong… My son-in-law deserves justice".

Muskan’s mother, Kavita, expressed deep regret over her daughter’s actions and highlighted the importance of communication between children and their parents. "I want to tell all children never to hide anything from their parents. My daughter made a huge mistake. She had lost 10 kg over two years, but she never shared her problems with us. If she had, she wouldn’t be in jail today," she said.

"I want to tell all the children out there—never hide anything from your parents. My child has made a big mistake. I used to ask her continuously what the problem was, but she kept losing weight—she lost 10 kg in two years. She hid many things from us, and that’s why she is in jail today. We have no idea if she was brainwashed or involved in drugs… Had she shared something with us, she wouldn’t be in this condition," Muskan’s mother, Kavita added.
