The Madhya Pradesh government will on Wednesday transfer Rs 1,250 into the accounts of eligible women in the state under the Ladli Behna Yojana. As per information provided by the state government, Chief Minister Mohan Yadav will release the 23rd installment of the scheme from Tikarwara Village in the Mandla district.

Normally, the amount is credited to the women’s bank accounts on the 10th of every month, but this time, the transfer has been delayed by six days and will take place on April 16.

Eligible beneficiaries can check their installment status by visiting the official website: cmladlibahna.mp.gov.in or http://cmladlibahna.mp.gov.in.

In addition to the Ladli Behna Yojana, the government will also transfer funds for two other schemes. Under the CM Social Security Pension Scheme, around 56 lakh beneficiaries will receive a total of Rs 337 crore. Additionally, the government will provide financial support for gas cylinders, distributing Rs 57 crore among 25 lakh women.

There are certain eligibility criteria for availing benefits under the Ladli Behna Yojana. Women over the age of 60 are not eligible for the scheme.

The Madhya Pradesh government launched the Ladli Behna Yojana in 2023 for the welfare of women in the state. This scheme was initially introduced by the then Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan. Under the scheme, women beneficiaries used to receive Rs 1,000 per month. However, after Mohan Yadav took over as Chief Minister, the monthly amount was increased from Rs 1,000 to Rs 1,250.
