Madhya Pradesh News: Tension gripped Mahudi village in the Bhaurasa police station area on Tuesday after gunshots were fired during a dispute over removing a vehicle. Police said former BJP Mandal General Secretary Dashrath Singh Dhakad and his family members allegedly opened fire in the air following an argument. No injuries were reported.

According to the complaint filed by Vijay Singh Dhakad, the incident began on Monday night when Dashrath’s son, Prithviraj, allegedly abused him over a vehicle parked in the locality. To settle the matter, Vijay Singh went to a temple on Tuesday morning to meet Dashrath, who was offering prayers.

While the discussion was underway, Dashrath’s brothers Lakhan and Suraj joined in, followed shortly by Rajveer and Prithviraj. Witnesses said both arrived armed, one with a pistol and the other with a weapon resembling a pistol. Heated arguments turned into threats and the duo reportedly fired several rounds into the air.

Soon after, another family member, Lucky, appeared with a 12-bore gun, while Dashrath allegedly abused the complainant and roamed around with the weapon. Later, Dashrath is said to have borrowed a pistol from his son Rajveer and fired additional rounds in the air.

Following the incident, police registered a case against eight people: Dashrath Singh Dhakad, his brothers Lakhan and Suraj, his sons Rajveer, Prithviraj, and Yuvraj, and relatives Lucky and Ravi.

Bhaurasa police station in-charge Preeti Katare confirmed that a case under multiple sections has been filed and search operations are underway to trace the accused.
