Emergency Response And Rescue
Teams from the Mumbai Fire Brigade, local police, metro officials and ward staff, supported by 108 Ambulance services, rushed to the scene to launch a rescue operation. While the injured were immediately shifted to a nearby hospital, their current medical condition remains critical and under observation.
Authorities have cordoned off the area, causing significant traffic disruptions on the busy LBS Road as debris clearance continues. While the exact cause of the structural failure is yet to be determined, a high-level investigation is expected.
Political Backlash And Safety Concerns
Meanwhile, Congress leader Varsha Gaikwad slammed the state government over the incident and questioned whether the lives of Mumbai residents had "become so cheap".
