CJP protests: Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) chief Abhijeet Dipke, who has been protesting at Delhi's Jantar Mantar for over a month, fell ill, after which he took a short break from the agitation site on Thursday. Dipke had to leave the protest site due to high fever and body aches. He shared a post on X about his health.
Need Rest For Recovery
On the social media platform 'X', he wrote, "I’ve been down with a fever and severe body pain for the last few days, but I’ve been pushing through with painkillers. My apologies if you don’t see me at Jantar Mantar today. I need to get a few hours of rest and recover. Will be back at the protest site by evening."

Food Poisoning-Related Issue
When he was asked about his vomiting, CJP spokesperson Ashutosh Ranka said it was food poisoning. Ranka stated that Dipke had suffered from vomiting and diarrhoea. He may have suffered from food poisoning. The CJP spokesperson also said he needed to pay special attention to his food, expressing fear that someone may deliberately feed him contaminated food.
Dipke has been protesting at Jantar Mantar since June 20, demanding reform in the education system and the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan over the NEET-UG paper leak. Amid the massive crowds and loud noise at Jantar Mantar day and night, Dipke's health has deteriorated as he is on a tough task of managing the protest, meeting leaders, planning future strategies, and confronting the police, administration, and government.
Earlier, Dipke had experienced vomiting on Tuesday and even felt dizzy on stage.
CJP-Government Talks Stalled
Despite the government's offer for the talks to resolve the issue, the CJP refused to meet the Union Ministers at their offices or residences. The protesting students said they would meet with the ministers at a neutral venue.
On Thursday, Union Minister JP Nadda again invited the CJP delegation for talks at his office or home. However, the request was reportedly turned down by the protesters as they continue to press on their demand to hold talks at a neutral venue.
