Namo Bharat Train Fare: In an effort to boost ridership, the National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC) has lowered the fare for premium coaches on the Namo Bharat train. The ticket price for travelling from New Ashok Nagar to Meerut South has been reduced from Rs 225 to Rs 180. Similar price cuts have also been applied on other routes.

Alongside this fare revision, NCRTC has also introduced a modern co-working space at the Ghaziabad Namo Bharat station. Designed for professionals, startups, and small business owners, the workspace features state-of-the-art amenities and IoT (Internet of Things) technology, providing a smart, efficient, and affordable working environment.

The cost of travelling in a premium coach is now just 20 per cent higher than the standard fare, instead of the previous 50 per cent difference. For instance, if a standard fare is Rs 100, the premium fare will now be Rs 120 instead of Rs 150. Premium coach passengers also get access to exclusive lounges at select stations, according to a report by Navbharat Times.

The price cut comes as a response to low occupancy in the premium coaches. NCRTC is hoping the revised fares will encourage more travellers to opt for the premium option, helping to increase overall usage and revenue.

The newly launched co-working hub at Ghaziabad station is located on the concourse level and includes 42 open desks, 11 private cabins, and two fully-equipped meeting rooms. NCRTC says the facility is part of its push to support professionals with smarter work and travel solutions in the region.
