PM Modi New Cabinet Ministers List 2024: Narendra Modi took oath for a historic third consecutive term as Prime Minister on Sunday evening at Rashtrapati Bhavan, leading a coalition government after two BJP majority terms. Alongside PM Modi, several other NDA leaders took oath as council of ministers including Amit Shah, JP Nadda, Rajnath Singh, Nirmala Sitharaman, HD Kumaraswamy, Jyotiraditya Scindia, Aswini Vaishnav, Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Piyush Goyal and others.

Despite retaining power, the BJP faced a setback in the Lok Sabha polls with its seat tally falling to 240 from 303. There is speculation that heavyweight portfolios like home, finance, defence, and external affairs, along with education and culture, will be retained by the BJP.

Before the ceremony, PM Modi met with his Cabinet picks over tea at his official residence, a tradition he has followed since 2014. During the meeting, ministerial candidates were asked to prepare a 100-day action plan for their ministries to expedite the goal of "viksit Bharat" (developed India) in the third term.

PM Modi's achievement now matches Jawaharlal Nehru's record of winning three consecutive general elections in 1952, 1957, and 1962.

Note: As the portfolios will be allocated to new Ministers, the list will be updated accordingly.
