Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini took oath as the Chief Minister of Haryana on Thursday in Panchkula. Notably, this is the third legislative term of the Bharatiya Janata Party, who secured a win in the Haryana Assembly Election.

Saini, 54, was unanimously elected as the leader of the BJP legislature party in a meeting held at the party office in Panchkula on Wednesday.

In a departure from tradition, the BJP had declared that Saini would remain chief minister if the party returned to power in Haryana after the assembly polls.

Nayab Saini on Thursday also paid a visit to Valmiki Bhawan and offered prayers at a gurdwara and the Mansa Devi temple in Panchkula ahead of his swearing-in ceremony.

He told reporters that the new BJP government will work towards taking Haryana forward at a rapid pace under the leadership of PM Modi.

The people of Haryana have shown faith in the Modi government's policies, he said on the assembly poll results.

List Of MLAs Who Also Took Oath Along With CM Nayab Singh Saini

1. BJP MLA Anil Vij- Anil Vij, is one of the senior leaders of the BJP. He contested elections from Ambala Cantt.

2. BJP MLA Krishan Lal Panwar- Krishan Lal Panwar seat won the Israna seat of Paipat district. Earlier this week, he resigned from Rajya Sabha.

3. Rao Narbir Singh- Rao Narbir Singh is the former Haryana cabinet minister. He fought elections from Badshahpur seat against Congress' Vardhan Yadav.

4. Mahipal Dhanda- Mahipal Dhanda contested polls from Panipat Rural. He is BJP's former minister and two-time MLA.

5. Vipul Goel- Vipul Goel, a BJP leader fought polls from the Faridabad seat.

6. BJP MLA Shruti Choudhry- Shruti Choudhry won the Tosham seat. She contested polls against her cousin Anirudh Chaudhry. She is the daughter of BJP leader Kiran Choudhry.

7. BJP MLA Arvind Kumar Sharma- Arvind Kumar Sharma won the elections from the Gohana seat. He fought against Congress' Jagbir Singh Malik.

8. BJP MLA Ranbir Singh Gangwa- Ranbir Gangwa is the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate, who contested polls from the Barwala seat. He defeated Congress' Ramniwas Ghorela.

9. BJP MLA Shyam Singh Rana- Shyam Singh Rana contested polls contested polls from the Radaur seat.

10. BJP MLA Krishan Bedi- Krishan Bedi won polls from the Shahabad seat.
