Bihar NDA Seat Sharing:  After the seat-sharing was finalised on Bihar's 40 seats on Monday, reports suggest that everything is not fine among the constituent parties of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) in the state. The Bharatiya Janata Party, a key member of the ruling coalition in the state, will contest the upcoming polls on 17 seats, while Nitish Kumar's Janata Dal-United has been allocated 16 seats to contest. Additionally, three other constituent parties have been granted seats: the Chirag Paswan-led Lok Jan Shakti Party (Ram Vilas) with 5 seats, Upendra Kushwaha's Rashtriya Lok Morcha with 1 seat, and Jitan Ram Manjhi-led HUM with 1 seat.

However, Pashupati Paras's Rashtriya Lok Jan Shakti Party, a key partner in the Modi government at the Centre, was not given any seat to contend upon. This setback came even as Pashupati Paras had been referring to the Vaishali seat as a traditional stronghold of his family. However, without considering Pashupati's claim, the BJP has allocated the Vaishali seat, along with Samastipur, Khagaria, and Jamui seats, to Chirag - his nephew.

Is Kushwaha, or Paras upset with the seat-sharing?

Rumours are rife that Pashupati Paras, aiming to stay relevant in the political arena, is exploring new avenues. Meanwhile, Upendra Kushwaha, a former ally of JD(U), seems discontented with recent developments. Kushwaha had been gearing up for elections on seven seats. Despite attempts to reach out to him for comment by Dainik Jagran, Kushwaha remained elusive, leaving even party spokespersons unreachable. Speculation mounts about their next moves in the political landscape.

Mukesh Sahni's Claims Prove Empty: VIP Left Hanging

There was speculation surrounding the Vikassheel Insaan Party (VIP) as to whether it would align with the BJP. Whispers were rife that the BJP might allocate two seats to VIP in the elections, but neither did the BJP make contact with VIP chief Mukesh Sahni nor did give him any sort of attention.

Party spokesperson Dev Jyoti says, 'Our clear demand is that whoever talks about Nishad reservation, our alliance will be with them. It seems evident from BJP's decision that they are not in favour of Nishad reservation.' The BJP's decision in the seat allocation has left many allies displeased. Disgruntled parties and their leaders are now in search of new options. It remains to be seen whether they find common ground in the grand alliance or not."
